We're expanding our Intelligence team to deepen our coverage of the structural changes reshaping financial markets and turn those changes into actionable intelligence for institutional clients.

The role

You turn complex, fast-moving markets into intelligence that senior decision-makers can use.

Our research spans stablecoins, tokenization, DeFi, payments, digital asset infrastructure, institutional adoption and the broader transformation of financial markets.

We have a particular interest in candidates with strong expertise in:

• Digital asset regulation
• Banking and financial market infrastructure
• Agentic finance

The job is not to summarise what happened. It's to understand what matters, why it matters, and what the market is still missing.

You'll interview the people building, regulating and adopting these systems, use TBW's intelligence and AI stack to connect the dots, and turn fragmented information into differentiated research and answers for clients.

What you'll own

Research & market intelligence

• Develop deep expertise and differentiated coverage across the themes you follow.
• Conduct interviews with banks, asset managers, corporates, regulators, market infrastructures and digital asset companies.
• Use TBW's proprietary intelligence and AI systems to accelerate research, test hypotheses and surface new signals.
• Produce deep dives, benchmarks, market maps, company analysis, regulatory research and client-ready intelligence.
• Track how regulation, technology, financial infrastructure and business models are evolving.
• Go beyond public announcements to understand what is actually being built, adopted and monetized.
• Find the non-obvious insight — the thing our clients don't already know.

Clients & network

• Answer bespoke research requests from institutional clients.
• Speak directly with senior clients to understand the strategic question behind the request.
• Present and defend your research credibly in front of financial institutions and market participants.
• Build a strong network of executives, experts and market participants across traditional finance and digital assets.
• Work closely with the rest of the Intelligence team to connect insights across our different areas of coverage.

Who you are

• You have 4+ years of experience in a financial institution, financial market infrastructure, regulator, financial-services consulting, institutional research, or a closely related environment.
• You understand both traditional finance and digital assets. We are not looking for a pure crypto researcher.
• You already have strong working knowledge of digital assets, including stablecoins, tokenization, blockchain infrastructure and DeFi.
• Expertise in digital asset regulation, banking and financial market infrastructure, or agentic finance is particularly valuable.
• You can speak substantively with both a traditional financial institution and a digital asset company — and understand the incentives on both sides.
• You're a rigorous researcher. You challenge sources, test assumptions and care about getting the detail right.
• You're naturally drawn to the question behind the question and can turn scattered information into a clear insight.
• You write and communicate extremely well in English.
• You enjoy working collaboratively. We're a small Intelligence team, and the quality of the collective output matters as much as individual expertise.
• You have produced or published substantive research within the last six months and can share it with us as part of the application process.
• You're autonomous and comfortable in a small, flat, full-remote, AI-centric team.

What this role is not

This is not a crypto news role.

We're not looking for someone focused primarily on token prices, trading narratives or crypto-native market commentary.

We're also not looking for someone who aggregates public information into another report.

Our clients already have information.

They come to TBW for the intelligence behind it.
