Yves Choueifaty

Yves Choueifaty is President and Chief Investment Officer at TOBAM, the asset management firm he founded in 2005 alongside the Maximum Diversification® approach, a patented, mathematically defined investment process designed to maximise diversification and reduce risk concentrations inherent in market cap-weighted indices. He also serves as Chairman of Tobam Holding Co. SAS.

Prior to founding TOBAM, Choueifaty spent over ten years at Credit Lyonnais Asset Management (CLAM, AUM €70bn) in senior roles including CIO and Head of Financial Engineering and Quantitative Investment Management, before becoming CEO. He left in 2004 to return to mathematics research. He has been recognised as "Chief Investment Officer of the Year" in 2015 by Funds Europe and "Asset Management Leader of the Year" in France in 2016 by AGEFI. He is a member of The 300 Club, a body whose mission is to raise awareness about the potential impact of current market thinking and behaviours. Outside asset management, he is a member of the Paris Committee of Human Rights Watch since 2019, president of the advisory board of WeNow — a climate-neutral initiative endorsed by the United Nations — a board member of the Saint-Joseph University foundation in Lebanon, and a board member of the RDCL, an association of Lebanese businesspeople. He graduated in 1992 from ENSAE in Statistics, Actuarial Studies, Finance, and Artificial Intelligence.
