Alexander Metzger

Alexander Metzger is Digital Assets Lead at Syz Bank, based in Geneva, where he supports clients with digital asset needs and develops the bank's digital asset offering. Syz Bank's digital asset platform provides custody and trading of selected tokens within its private banking services, and Syz Group's alternatives arm operates a Bitcoin-denominated fund of crypto hedge funds.

Metzger has more than eight years of experience in the digital assets space, with a background advising high-net-worth individuals and family offices in Geneva and Dubai on allocating to the asset class. Prior to joining Syz Bank in August 2025, he spent approximately five years at AMINA Bank, a regulated crypto bank headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, where he held two concurrent roles: Custody Product Manager from August 2023 and Client Manager from September 2020. At AMINA Bank, his product role focused on digital asset custody. Before that, he founded Akwan Capital, based in Gibraltar, where he operated from September 2017 to June 2020. Earlier in his career, he worked as an FP&A Senior Analyst at King in London from 2014 to 2017, and as a Financial Analyst at Ensemble Investments in the Greater Los Angeles area from 2012 to 2013.
