Maiya Vlasova

Maiya Vlasova is Head of Sector, Crypto Market at the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Bank of Russia), a position she assumed in November 2025. Before joining the Central Bank, she was a member of a research group at the National Research University — Higher School of Economics from January to September 2016, contributing to the development of interconnected models for credit risk assessment in Russian banking institutions and analysing causes and consequences of banking system financial crises. Earlier, she held a Leading Specialist position at Bank of Moscow from January 2015 to April 2016, where her responsibilities included calculation of risk measures such as VaR and expected shortfall, stress testing, and daily control of banking operations.
