Alvin Wong Kee Choong

Alvin Wong Kee Choong serves as Head of Growth and Product Strategy and Head of Invest (Crypto, Funds, Equities) at PayMaya Philippines, a role he has held since December 2019. In this position, he focuses on digital financial services for both unbanked and banked consumers, as well as enterprise clients. His investment mandate at PayMaya spans crypto, funds, and equities. Prior to joining PayMaya, he spent nearly four years at Samsung Electronics as a regional product specialist for Samsung Pay across Southeast Asia. Before that, he held a product role at UnionPay International covering contactless payments, ecommerce, and mobile. Earlier career positions included roles at SingTel, Giesecke & Devrient, and Venyon Oy.

His technical background includes NFC Over The Air (OTA) solutions provisioning, IT policy framework development, network architecture design, IT security consultation, and Oracle database administration. He holds compliance certifications across BS7799, ISO27001, Visa, and Mastercard standards. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and IT from La Trobe University and a Master's degree in Network Computing from Monash University.
