Marc Renell holds a dual current position: he serves as Managing Partner at Renell Corporate Finance GmbH in Frankfurt, advising companies on capital markets financing, and since June 2023 has been a specialist in Digital Assets, Custody, Market Data, and Bank Regulation at DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale in Frankfurt/Rhein-Main. Prior to his current roles, Renell served as CEO of Renell Wertpapierhandelsbank AG from October 2002 to September 2022, a period of nearly twenty years. He founded Renell Corporate Finance GmbH in 2012, which focuses on capital market financing advisory and capital market making on German and European stock exchanges. Digital Assets / Blockchain
Matteo Henrizi is a Digital Assets Blockchain Specialist at DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale in Frankfurt, a position he has held since February 2024 within the Product department. Prior to this role, he completed an 18-month trainee programme at DekaBank focused on Digital Multichannel Management and Blockchain, running from August 2022 to February 2024. Alongside his work at DekaBank, he serves as a lecturer at the Sparkassenakademie of Sparkassenverband Rheinland-Pfalz in Mainz, where he has taught and examined the subject of economics (Volkswirtschaftslehre) as part of the Bankfachwirt S/ET programme since December 2020.
Earlier in his career, Henrizi worked as a working student in portfolio management at CORESTATE Capital Group for six months between September 2018 and March 2019. He holds a Master's degree in Economics from Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen, completed between 2019 and 2022, with a thesis examining the impact of European monetary policy on cryptocurrency prices through empirical analysis.
Head of Digital Assets
Michael Cyrus is Head of Collateral Trading and FX at DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale, based in Frankfurt. His mandate covers Fixed Income Repo, Securities Lending, Equity Finance, Structured Collateralised Solutions, and FX. He has held a role at DekaBank since January 2011, initially as Head of Short Term Products before moving into his current position. He also serves as Chairman of the Repo Board Advisory Committee at Deutsche Börse, a role he has held since November 2019, and is a lecturer at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, where he teaches Trading and Sales.
Prior to DekaBank, Cyrus was global Co-Head of Short Term Markets and Financing at RBS London, with responsibility for Repo, collateralised Funding, FX, and Interest Rate Prime and ETD. Before RBS, he was Head of Credit Financing and Collateral Trading at Dresdner Bank in London, focusing on Emerging Market Repo, Equity Finance, Tri-Party Repo, and synthetic financing in fixed income and credit markets. He began his career at Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Hamburg and is a regular speaker at conferences and an occasional writer on collateral markets and regulation.

Thorben Lüthge is Managing Director and Head of Markets at DekaBank, leading capital markets and digital transformation initiatives with extensive expertise in structuring, trading, and market strategy.
