Anton Katz

Anton Katz is CEO and Co-Founder of Talos, where he is responsible for leading overall operations and driving strategic initiatives. He co-founded Talos in December 2018 alongside Ethan Feldman after the pair set out to establish a crypto hedge fund and identified that nearly all infrastructure and tooling in the digital assets market had been built for retail: liquidity was highly fragmented, connectivity standards were lacking, and algorithmic best execution was absent. Rather than proceed with the fund, they redirected their focus to building an institutional trading platform for digital asset markets. Talos provides a platform covering digital asset trading, portfolio management, risk, treasury, settlement, and provider connectivity, and has raised $196 million across six funding rounds.

Before co-founding Talos, Katz served as Head of Trading Technology at AQR Capital Management from May 2015 to September 2018. Prior to that, he held a series of roles at Broadway Technology between 2009 and 2015, including Senior Consultant Software Engineer, Engagement Lead, Head of Market Connectivity, and Director of Software, with a focus on high-performance, real-time trading systems. Earlier in his career he was a Technical Program Manager at Microsoft from September 2007 to April 2009. He also served as First Sergeant in the Israel Defense Forces from 1998 to 2001 and was a member of the Israeli National Shooting Team from 1995 to 1998. Katz holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed in 2007. He is based in New York.
