BARIŞ AYDIN

Barış Aydın is Vice President, Digital Assets Custody at Akbank, a position he assumed in August 2025. His current mandate sits within the Finance and Accounting department at the vice president level, focused on digital assets custody.

Aydın has spent his entire professional career at Akbank, accumulating over 20 years at the institution. Prior to his current role, he served as Manager in Treasury and Capital Markets Operations, covering fixed income securities and repo transactions across both exchange-traded and OTC markets, a position he held from January 2015 to August 2025. Before that, he was Assistant Manager in the same function from August 2007 to December 2014, where his responsibilities included coordinating client fixed income securities and repo/reverse repo operations and participating in system integration projects, including work on the SUMMIT treasury platform and a fixed income and repo transaction processing migration completed between 2010 and 2013. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Risk Management Operations Analyst at Akbank from July 2005 to July 2007. Aydın holds a degree in Business Administration from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Dumlupınar Üniversitesi, Kütahya, completed between 1999 and 2003.
