Benoît Courtois is Director Head of Blockchain & Digital Assets at Unicaja, a position he has held since September 2025. In this role, he leads the bank's blockchain and digital assets strategy. He brings over 15 years of experience across the blockchain and financial sectors, with a background that spans team leadership and advisory work for multinational companies across international environments.

Alongside his role at Unicaja, Courtois holds concurrent teaching positions at two business schools: he has been Professor of Blockchain and DeFi at EDHEC Business School since January 2024, and at NEOMA Business School since September 2023. His stated areas of focus combine financial and regulatory expertise with blockchain applications. He is based in Madrid and holds education from INSEAD.
