Carlos Domingo

Carlos Domingo is Founder and CEO of Securitize, a digital asset securities firm providing compliant, end-to-end solutions for issuing and managing private market security tokens on the blockchain. He co-founded Securitize in 2017 after spinning out the technology platform built for SPiCE VC, which he also co-founded as the first tokenized venture capital fund. Securitize became the first SEC Registered Transfer Agent operating on the blockchain in 2019. Customers on the platform include KKR, Hamilton Lane, and Blockchain Capital.

Domingo is also Co-Founder and Managing Partner of SPiCE VC, a tokenized VC fund that issues regulatory-compliant security tokens entitling holders to net exit revenues. Prior to founding these two firms, he served as CEO of Telefonica R&D and as CEO of New Business and Innovation at Telefonica Digital, the division of one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world. Earlier in his career he was Chief New Business and Innovation Officer at du, an Entrepreneur in Residence at Techstars supporting their Dubai programme, and a board member of Jajah, Tuenti, Tokbox, Telefonica Digital, and Telefonica Ventures. He also founded Wayra, Telefonica's corporate venture capital arm. Domingo holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Computer Science, a B.S. in Computer Science, and an Executive MBA, and has authored two books.
