Christine Platiel

Christine Platiel is Chief Operating Officer, LiveWell By Zurich Insurance, Global Venture at Zurich Insurance, a position she has held since August 2022. Prior to this, she served as Head of Onboarding and Strategic Projects within the same LiveWell venture from December 2020 to July 2022. Her earlier tenure at Zurich Insurance included roles as Risk Partner for Strategy, Innovation and Business Development in Group Risk Management from February 2016 to November 2020, and a six-month assignment from April to October 2018 as part of the Make The Difference Program with a direct report to the Group CEO Executive Team. She also held Senior Project Manager positions in Group Risk Management and Group Legal Compliance between 2013 and 2016.

Before joining Zurich Insurance, Platiel spent approximately a decade at Clariant, a specialty chemicals company. Her roles there included Strategy Projects Manager in Corporate Development, where she was a Global Leadership Member, from June 2009 to June 2013; Sales Manager for the Coatings and Additives segment in North America, based in Boston, from April 2007 to June 2009; Global Programs Manager for Sales in the Pigments and Additives division from April 2004 to March 2007; and Strategic Assistant to a Member of the Executive Committee from October 2002 to March 2004. Her career spans approximately 22 years across insurance and specialty chemicals sectors, with experience in programme delivery, risk management, strategy, and operations.
