Senior Director - Head of Blockchain Lab
Michael Oh is Senior Director of the Blockchain Lab at FINRA, sitting within the Office of Financial Innovation. Tamara Weber is a Senior Principal Investigator, Crypto Asset Investigations Team at FINRA, based in San Francisco, where she leads complex investigations and risk-based examinations focused on crypto asset fraud and securities law compliance. She is CAMS certified and has accumulated over 20 years of experience in financial crimes investigation.
Before joining FINRA in June 2024, Weber served as a Special Agent at the FDIC from 2019 to 2024, focusing on financial crimes including bank fraud and anti-money laundering investigations. Prior to that, she held a Senior Special Agent role at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 2013 to 2019, where she worked under SIGTARP. She also served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California from 2011 to 2013, and previously as an Assistant State's Attorney at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in Chicago. She holds a law degree from DePaul University College of Law. In addition to her investigative work, Weber has delivered public education sessions on crypto ATM fraud, including presentations targeted at senior investors through FINRA's outreach programming.
