Prior to joining Customers Bank, Layfield worked in business development at Silvergate Bank from January 2018 to November 2021. Before entering the banking and financial technology sector, he spent over two decades as a Business Development Executive in the healthcare technology sector, working across Fortune 100 companies and early-stage startups. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Portland State University School of Business Administration and also studied Business Administration and Management at Marylhurst University.
