Danielle Pienaar

Danielle Pienaar is Web3 & Blockchain Director at Verdant Management, a position she has held since July 2025 and is based in the Cayman Islands. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) and Certified Bitcoin Professional with over a decade of experience in financial services, more than eight years of which have been focused on blockchain, digital assets, and Web3. She serves as an Independent Director on the boards of blockchain companies, tokenized investment vehicles, funds, and foundation structures, with stated responsibilities spanning governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Her prior career included leading the digital asset fund practice at a Cayman fiduciary services firm, where she worked on structures including what she describes as the world's first fully regulated tokenized mutual fund. She has worked with traditional and digital funds, DAOs, and foundations, advising on the regulatory frameworks of the Cayman Islands and BVI. In August 2022 she founded Women in Blockchain Cayman Islands, an initiative operating under the Blockchain Association of the Cayman Islands focused on education, advocacy, and community building in the digital asset space. Since May 2025 she has also served as Chapter Lead for the Cayman Islands at SheFi, a cohort-based educational program for women in Web3 and AI.
