Danny Wedul

Danny Wedul is a Principal Staff Software Engineer at Figure, a role he has held since November 2024. In this position, he leads technical efforts over the Provenance Blockchain protocol. Prior to this, he served as Principal Software Engineer at the Provenance Blockchain Foundation from March 2023 to November 2024, where he acted as technical lead over the Provenance Blockchain protocol, collaborated with the Cosmos-SDK community, provided feature requests and bug fixes for both Provenance Blockchain and Cosmos-SDK, investigated and resolved technical problems, maintained usage documentation, and coordinated releases with internal and external parties.

Before joining the Provenance Blockchain Foundation, Wedul was a Staff Software Engineer at Figure from September 2020 to July 2022, where he worked on building, maintaining, and supporting the Provenance Blockchain. Earlier career roles included positions at SoFi as a Senior Software Engineer, and development roles at Montana Interactive and Technical Systems Integrators. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Mathematical Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Computational Physics from the University of Montana. He is based in Helena, Montana.
