David Brill

David Brill is a Managing Director, Blockchain and Digital Assets at FTI Consulting, where he advises C-suite executives and law firm partners on blockchain adoption, digital asset strategies, and Web3 integration. He delivers business intelligence and due diligence for cryptocurrency and blockchain transactions, including acquisitions, partnerships, and divestitures, and provides tactical guidance in defending crypto and blockchain companies during commercial litigation. He joined FTI Consulting in January 2023 and is based in Miami.

Brill has been active in the digital asset space since 2015. Prior to FTI Consulting, he served as Deputy General Counsel at Voyager Digital, where he co-led the digital asset listing program and was the lead attorney on all cryptocurrency and commercial matters. Earlier general counsel roles include Gemini Trust Company, OST, and American Stock Transfer & Trust Company. He also served as a senior lawyer at Thomson Reuters. Notable career milestones include facilitating the listing of Ethereum on one of the first regulated digital asset exchanges and contributing to the development of an initial ETF filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. He represented a Fortune 100 company in SEC v. Dorozhko, the first major computer hacking case brought by the SEC. In addition to his role at FTI Consulting, Brill serves as Chair of the Cryptoassets Working Group at the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance and co-hosts the WSBA Crypto Weekly Round-up podcast. He is a board member of the Association of Corporate Counsel South Florida Chapter and is a member of the Digital Asset Legal and Regulatory Alliance. He holds a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, and is admitted to the New York and New Jersey State Bars.
