Head of Digital Asset Operations | StoneX
Josh Nowland is a Senior Digital Operations Analyst at StoneX Group Inc., a position he has held since April 2023. His LinkedIn headline identifies his focus as digital asset operations, fintech infrastructure, and automation. Prior to this role, he worked within StoneX's finance and accounting function, serving as Senior Margin Analyst from October 2022 to April 2023, and as Margin Analyst from September 2020 to October 2022. He joined StoneX in August 2019 as a Retirement Services Associate.
Before StoneX, Nowland held a four-month position as a Wealth Management Associate at E.T. George Investment Management, LLC in Starkville, Mississippi, where he analyzed investment portfolio performance, assisted with portfolio rebalancing, and developed a billing spreadsheet that eliminated ten hours of manual labor per week. He also completed a commercial banking internship at Bryant Bank in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. From 2014 to 2018, he ran Market Textbook Sales as president, handling client relationships, negotiations, and sales across platforms including Amazon and eBay. He holds a degree from the University of Alabama.

Melissa Moo Harkins is Director - Digital Assets at StoneX Group Inc., a role she has held since September 2023. StoneX Group Inc. is described as an institutional-grade financial services franchise offering advanced digital platforms, end-to-end clearing and execution services, and global market expertise.
Prior to joining StoneX, Harkins served as Sales Director at Blockdaemon from October 2021 to September 2023, where the firm operated as an institutional gateway to the decentralized economy. Before entering the digital assets space, she founded MooMotion, a women's cycling and triathlon apparel company, which she ran from July 2011 to October 2021. Earlier in her career she worked in algorithmic trading at Weeden & Co. from February 2008 to August 2010, and served as Vice President at Banc of America Securities from March 2007 to November 2007. She also held a role as Managing Director at Instinet-INET-NASDAQ between August 2003 and August 2006. Harkins is co-founder of Rides FAR, a Wall Street cycling event supporting autism research through the Autism Science Foundation, which she co-founded in New York in 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis, and has additional educational experience at Parsons School of Design - The New School.
