Evan Lee

Evan Lee is Blockchain Tech Lead at Cathay Financial Holdings Co., Ltd., a position he has held since November 2019. He leads the blockchain engineering team, with a mandate to design and implement financial systems using blockchain technology and to build and manage the development team. In parallel, he serves as a technical advisor to a consortium of 14 insurance companies in Taiwan, supporting the establishment of an insurance alliance built on consortium blockchain infrastructure and the development of decentralized insurance services within that alliance. His stated team objective is to connect Web3 with the traditional financial industry through blockchain technology.

Prior to Cathay Financial Holdings, Lee was a Full Stack Engineer at Taroko from November 2017 to May 2019, where he developed Ethereum smart contracts, built blockchain proof-of-concept projects, and developed RESTful APIs in Python and Node.js. Before that, he held a Senior Software Developer role at Dropbuy from June to November 2017, focused on front-end development and marketing systems. He also served as Associate Director at Emers Group from November 2016 to June 2017, working on e-commerce systems. His total professional experience spans over 16 years.
