Gregor Von Bergen

Gregor von Bergen is Head Payments, Cards & Digital Assets at Capco, based in Zurich, where he has held the role since September 2021. He owns the payments, cards, and digital assets domain and carries a sales responsibility with a target exceeding 1 million CHF. As project lead and subject matter expert, he has directed a range of client engagements including a blockchain project for international payments with a supranational organisation for a Swiss retail bank, the onboarding of a neobank for a Swiss retail bank, the development of an Account2Account prototype, a payments strategy project covering future payments trends, and the digitisation of credit card applications using qualified electronic signatures. He has also co-authored published work on instant payments in Switzerland, covering compliance and risk management implications of the August 2024 SIC infrastructure deadline, as well as the customer experience dimension of instant payment adoption.

Prior to his current role, von Bergen served as Senior Manager at gwp geissbühler weber & partner from March 2019 to April 2021. Before that, he held a Manager position at Capco from June 2017 to February 2019. Earlier in his career, he was Head of Payment Client Migration Switzerland at Credit Suisse from September 2016 to May 2017, where he worked on ISO 20022 market activities during the Swiss payment migration and supported clients with cash management-related matters. His total professional experience spans approximately 15 years.
