Inna Modja is a Malian-French artist, filmmaker and global advocate for social, gender and climate justice. She serves as UNCCD Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, a role she has held since April 2023, focused on finding solutions to desertification and drought and documenting the experiences of communities on the frontline of climate change. She was also designated a UNCCD Land Ambassador from September 2019. In 2022, she was named a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum. She is named among BBC 100 Women 2024 and is a marraine of La Maison Des Femmes Restart.

Born Inna Bocoum on May 19, 1984, in Bamako, Mali, into a Fula family, she is the sixth of seven children. She starred in and served as executive producer of the documentary "The Great Green Wall," which covers Africa's efforts to restore degraded landscapes in the Sahel. She has been an ambassador for The Great Green Wall initiative since January 2017. She co-founded Code Green, a nonprofit that applies blockchain technology, art, and web tools to support social and climate justice causes. Her music career, active since 2009, includes the albums Everyday Is a New World and Love Revolution, released under Warner Music Group. She has spoken publicly against female genital mutilation, having herself undergone the procedure, and has since had reconstructive surgery. She is an indigenous Fulani and holds a Malian passport.
