Jézabel Couppey-Soubeyran is an Associate Professor at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a scientific advisor at the Veblen Institute. She is also a PSE Professor at the Paris School of Economics, where her research focuses on financial economics and risk, within the Macroeconomics research group.

Her academic work covers money, banking, central banks, monetary and prudential policy, and ecological transition. She directs a professional Master 2 programme training students in banking risk control and compliance. Her publications include Blablabanque. Le Discours de l'inaction (Michalon, 2015), Parlons banque en 30 questions co-authored with Christophe Nijdam (La Documentation française, 2nd edition 2018), the textbook Monnaie, banques, finance (4th edition 2021) co-authored with Thomas Renault, and the illustrated book L'Economie en BD with Auriane Bui (Casterman, 2020). She contributed to collective works including 2030, c'est demain (Veblen Institute and Les petits matins, 2022) and Chroniques critiques de l'économie (Studyrama and France Culture, 2023). She co-edits the annual publication L'Economie mondiale for La Découverte and CEPII. She also writes a column for Le Monde.
