Kim Kowalewski

Kim Kowalewski is Structured Data Protection Lead at PNC, a position she has held since October 2022. In this role, she leads teams responsible for Database Activity Monitoring and Scanning, Tokenization, and Data Environmental controls, with a mandate to drive data desensitization across the organization.

Prior to PNC, Kowalewski held senior security roles at CVS Health and its affiliate Aetna. At CVS Health, she served as Acting Senior Director of Data Asset Protection, leading teams across Software Security, Cybersecurity Hygiene, and Data Protection. She also served as Director of Software Security, where she led a team focused on securing the software development lifecycle, mobile scanning, and penetration testing. At Aetna, she held the role of Information Security Officer, accountable for cybersecurity and fraud for PayFlex. Earlier at Aetna, she managed the Next Generation Authentication program and held responsibilities spanning Configuration Management, Vulnerability Management, Asset Management, and Security Incident Management. Her total career experience in the field spans over 40 years.
