Kristen Mierzwa is Head of Digital Assets at FTSE Russell, An LSEG Business, a role she has held since February 2022. In this position, she is responsible for developing and executing FTSE Russell's digital asset index and data strategy, and leads the digital asset team across research, product management, business development, marketing, and partnerships. She chairs the FTSE Digital Asset Operational Forum, the FTSE Digital Asset Technical Forum, and the FTSE DAR Grayscale Digital Asset Forum, roles she has held since 2021. She also serves as an active board member of the FTSE Digital Asset Advisory Committee since 2021, and has been a board member on London Stock Exchange's 401(k) Board since 2018. She oversees the partnership with Digital Asset Research (DAR).
Mierzwa has over five years of experience in digital assets and more than 25 years in index products, ETFs, strategy, business development, product development, sales, and account management. Prior to her current role, she served as Director and Head of North America ETP Strategy and Business Development at FTSE Russell from June 2020 to February 2022, where she led the initiative for entering the digital asset space across multiple verticals via the DAR partnership from 2019. Before that, she was Managing Director of ETP Strategy and Business Development from April 2017 to June 2020. She has been with FTSE Russell for approximately 16 years in total. She co-chaired the Women in ETFs Membership Board from 2017 to 2019. She holds a BS from the University of California, Davis, where she studied from 1993 to 1997. She holds Series 3, 7, and 63 licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers, though these have since expired.
