Laurent Monéger

Thierry Redon is Blockchain Project Leader at Groupe BPCE, a position he has held since May 2018. His mandate covers coordination of projects in the Blockchain/DLT area within Groupe BPCE, spanning crypto-assets, tokenization, and digital currencies including wholesale central bank digital currencies (wCBDC). He has been involved in a series of institutional digital currency initiatives, including Project Jura, the Eurosystem exploratory work in 2024, Project Agorá, Fragmos Chain, Regulated Layer One, Kinexys, HQLAx, and FundsDLT. Since June 2023, he has served as a member of the New Technologies for Wholesale Settlement Contact Group (NTW-CG) at the Eurosystem. He is also a member of the Labchain Consortium and participates in working groups on digital assets and wCBDC across several industry bodies, including the FBF, EBF, EACB, and Adan.

Prior to his current role, Redon spent seven years as Senior Manager Public Sector at Caisse d'Epargne within BPCE, from January 2011 to April 2018, where he focused on business development for the Caisse d'Epargne network, including distribution of European Investment Bank loan facilities tied to energy efficiency, sustainable transport, optical fibre, water and sanitation, and healthcare, as well as payment solutions and leasing. Before that, from November 2005 to January 2011, he was Senior Covered Bonds Issuance Manager at Caisse d'Epargne Caisse Nationale, where he handled medium and long-term funding, including public and private placements of senior and covered bonds in coordination with investment banks' DCM teams. His total professional experience spans over 33 years.
