Liang Zhong

Liang Zhong is Director of the Product Innovation Division, Digital Currency Department at Postal Savings Bank of China, a position he has held since November 2021. In this role he sits within the bank's dedicated digital currency function, leading its product innovation activity. He previously served as Deputy Director of the same division from June to November 2021, and before that as Deputy Director of the Innovation Lab within the Fintech Innovation Department from September 2019 to June 2021.

Zhong's broader tenure at Postal Savings Bank of China spans over a decade, during which he also led the Innovation Lab in the Information Technology Department from October 2017 to September 2019, and held an Enterprise Architect position from March 2012 to June 2018. Earlier in his career he worked as a Technical Consultant at Microsoft for eight months in 2008. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Beihang University, where he studied from 2004 to 2011, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, completed in 2004.
