Lior Shpitz

Lior Shpitz is Team Leader, Head of Crypto Field, Department of Investigations at the Israel Securities Authority, a position he has held since May 2022. In this role, he leads the crypto-focused work within the ISA's investigations function. Prior to assuming the team leader position, he served as Senior Investigator and Head of Crypto and Cyber Fields within the same department from November 2014 to May 2022, giving him over a decade of continuous focus on crypto and cyber matters in a securities enforcement context.

Before joining the Israel Securities Authority, Shpitz worked as Assistant Controller in the Finance and Accounting function at Leumit Health Services from May 2012 to October 2014. Earlier, he was a Certified Public Accountant at PwC Israel from December 2009 to May 2012, also within Finance and Accounting. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University, where he studied from 2006 to 2010.
