Marco Manoppo

Marco Manoppo is General Partner at SharpByte Capital, a crypto-native investment fund focused on delta-neutral and asymmetric yield opportunities. The fund combines offchain yield curation, pre-TGE deal access, and protocol advisory. In addition to capital deployment, Manoppo supports portfolio protocols on go-to-market strategy, tokenomics design, and liquidity provisioning. He also sits on the Digital Assets Advisory Committee at FTSE Russell, a role he has held since January 2026.

Prior to founding SharpByte Capital in May 2025, Manoppo was an investor at Primitive Ventures from March 2024 to May 2025. Before that, he spent four years at Digital Asset Research, progressing from Research Analyst to Research Director and Team Lead between January 2020 and March 2024. In that capacity he was responsible for vetting digital asset exchanges and assets as part of the DAR FTSE Digital Asset Indices methodology, and produced bespoke qualitative and quantitative research for institutional clients. Earlier in his career he worked as an Operations Specialist, Execution Trader, and Research Analyst at Digital Capital Management, where he automated portfolio performance reporting and researched venture investment opportunities. He founded Launchy, a crypto newsletter with over 20,000 subscribers, and co-hosts a crypto podcast called More Than Speculation. He holds a degree from Purdue University and attended Canisius College.
