Matt Gillham

Matt Gillham is Director of Product, Blockchain & Crypto at Tala, a Series E fintech lender focused on financial access for the global middle class. He has held the Director of Product title since October 2024, and has served as Product Lead, Crypto at Tala since January 2022. Tala combines credit underwriting, payments execution, and customer relationship capabilities into a single platform, and Gillham sits within its product organisation focused on crypto and blockchain.

Before moving into product leadership, Gillham held strategy and analytics roles at Tala, progressing from Business Analyst (2019–2020) to Manager and then Sr. Manager of Strategy Analytics (2020–2021). Prior to joining Tala, he worked as a Performance Improvement Consultant at EY in the Dallas/Fort Worth area from September 2016 to January 2018, and subsequently as a Statistician at Fundación E2E, a social impact consultancy in Medellín, Colombia, where he conducted monitoring, evaluation, and impact measurement for corporate and NGO projects in Latin America. Earlier in his career he completed a Data Analyst internship at 84.51° in Cincinnati. He holds a Master of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration with a focus on Economics from the University of Alabama.
