Head of Digital Assets Strategy
Marita McGinley is Global Head of Digital Asset Strategy at Schroders and, effective 1 September 2025, also Head of Operations for Asia Pacific, reporting to the global heads of platform services and platform change. Based in Singapore, she leads the firm's Global Digital Assets Centre of Excellence, which she launched in Singapore and which brings together a dedicated team of digital asset specialists to drive thought leadership, best practice development, policymaker engagement, and industry collaboration across Schroders globally. Her expanded operations remit supports Schroders' Global Operating Platform, a modular, process-driven framework integrating artificial intelligence, distributed ledger technology, and data analytics.
McGinley joined Schroders in 2016, holding senior roles including Head of Digital Automation and Enablement before relocating to Singapore in 2023. Prior to Schroders, she spent nearly eight years at Man Group in operational management and transformation. Her work at Schroders has included authoring research on tokenisation and blockchain in asset management, examining use cases such as fractionalisation, settlement efficiency, distribution, and on-chain record-keeping. She has spoken publicly on blockchain and distributed ledger technology applications in asset management, including at the Singapore FinTech Festival. McGinley holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and has completed MBA studies with Warwick Business School.
