Navin Dsouza

Navin Dsouza is Chief Operating Officer, Digital Assets & Gold at Equiti Group, a position he assumed in January 2025 and is based in Dubai. In this role, he oversees the digital assets and gold business unit of the award-winning broker, which offers online trading across CFDs in forex, shares, indices, ETFs, commodities, and crypto.

Prior to joining Equiti Group, Dsouza spent approximately seven months at Dubai Financial Market as Head of Special Projects, where he led initiatives to support the exchange's growth and expansion strategy. He also held senior positions at DFM including Senior Vice President for Post Trade Operations and Head of Risk Management, and Vice President for Clearing and Settlement. Before DFM, he held roles at Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange as Director of Operations, and previously at Deutsche Bank and the National Stock Exchange of India. Separately, Dsouza co-founded ComTech Gold in June 2022, a company focused on the digitisation of gold using blockchain technology, where he served as CEO until May 2024 and subsequently as Advisor. ComTech Gold's model involves tokenising physical gold backed by standardised 1 kg bars of 999 purity held in a secured vault on a segregated and auditable basis. He holds a Chartered Accountant qualification and is a CFA Charterholder, having held the designation between 2011 and 2013. His stated areas of specialism include blockchain, banking cash management and operations, exchange clearing and settlement, and risk management, with over 25 years of total professional experience.
