Team Head TechBanking; Head Digital Partnerships

Milko Hensel is Team Head TechBanking and Head Digital Partnerships at Maerki Baumann & Co. AG, a position he has held since October 2024. In this role he leads the TechBanking function and manages digital partnerships. He holds a Certified Crypto Finance Expert (CCFE) designation and an ESG & Sustainable Finance Certificate from HSG, and has been active in digital and crypto banking since 2016.

His involvement in digital assets at Maerki Baumann spans multiple roles. As Head of Digital Partnerships from October 2019 to September 2024, he developed and executed the bank's crypto strategy, grew the team from five to sixteen people, and enabled the onboarding of over 600 corporate and private clients. Prior to that, from October 2016 to September 2019, he served as Deputy Head IT & Digitisation and Member of Senior Management, working on digital strategy and the implementation of digital banking services. He joined Maerki Baumann in February 2014 in a business development capacity, covering digitalisation of banking services and regulatory topics including MiFID II and CRS. Before joining Maerki Baumann, he was Head of Regulatory Solutions at Credit Suisse from April 2012 to January 2014. He also served as a tutor at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg for over nineteen years, supporting bachelor students in banking and lecturing on post-merger integration. He holds an MBA from the University of Bradford and TIAS, Tilburg.
