Pietro Moran

Pietro Moran is Director of Crypto at Shift4, where he leads the company's crypto payments division with a stated focus on optimizing the merchant experience and building an end-to-end payments solution for crypto. In that capacity, he was centrally involved in the 2025 partnership with Property Markets Group to accept crypto payments for luxury residential real estate in Miami and South Florida, a deal covering properties including the Waldorf Astoria Residences, One Park Sarasota, and E11even Club Residences.

Moran joined Shift4 in April 2023 following the company's acquisition of The Giving Block, where he had served as Director of Crypto Partnerships from September 2021, helping nonprofits accept cryptocurrency donations and working with crypto businesses on social impact goals. Prior to The Giving Block, he spent eight months in 2021 as a recruiter at Proof of Talent, a specialty recruiting firm focused on the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry, where The Giving Block was a client. He first encountered crypto in 2015 while studying economics. He holds a Master of Arts in Economics from George Mason University and was previously a research fellow at the Mercatus Center.
