Chief Product Officer, Digital Assets
Ira Auerbach is Chief Product Officer, Digital Assets at Galaxy, a position he assumed in January 2026. His mandate covers product strategy across Galaxy and GalaxyOne, with a focus on supporting both institutional and retail digital asset offerings and simplifying access to the blockchain for both user segments.
Prior to joining Galaxy, Auerbach served as Head of Tandem at Offchain Labs from November 2024 to January 2026, a role focused on Ethereum scaling solutions. Before that, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Digital Assets at Nasdaq from July 2022 to June 2024. He held multiple roles at Gemini between September 2017 and July 2022, including Head of Product and Global Head of Gemini Prime. Earlier in his career he held positions at Palantir Technologies, BGC Partners, and BNP Paribas, where his work spanned business development, foreign exchange trading, and product management. Auerbach holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, received in 2009.
Head of Tokenization
Thomas Cowan is Head of Tokenization at Galaxy, based in New York. His team sits within the Investment Banking Division and is building out what Galaxy describes as the industry's first fully onchain capital markets business within a bank. He has held the role since August 2023. He also serves as a Board Member at AllUnity, a Frankfurt-based entity focused on issuing a MiCAR-compliant EUR-denominated stablecoin, a position he has held since May 2024. Since January 2025, he has been a Fellow at The Economic Club of New York.
Before joining Galaxy, Cowan worked at Paxos, Ripple, and on the Boston Federal Reserve's CBDC team. During his time at Harvard, he also served as a research assistant on stablecoin, CBDC, and digital currency topics. He holds an engineering degree from MIT and MBA and MPP degrees from Harvard University.

MD, Head of EMEA Fintech at J.P. Morgan
Manuel Costescu is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, where he co-heads the EMEA Innovation Economy team and serves as a Global Fintech Champion. In this role he advises the region's fastest-growing fintech, SaaS and e-commerce companies across a range of corporate and investment banking solutions.
Costescu began his career as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company in New York, and earlier worked as a banker at J.P. Morgan covering European public sector clients before returning to the firm. He is a regular speaker at industry events on innovation, fintech and digital finance.
