Renato Cricca

Renato Cricca is Product Head Crypto Custody at SDX Web3 AG (SIX Digital Exchange), a position he has held since April 2022. In this role, he leads the crypto custody product at SDX Web3, with a focus on delivering institutional-grade custody infrastructure. He has also held a Product Manager role at SIX Digital Exchange since November 2018.

Cricca has been directly involved in the SDX Web3 partnership with RULEMATCH, which offers financial institutions an integrated solution to trade, settle, and manage crypto assets. He has articulated the architecture of this offering publicly, noting that its separation of trading and custody functions is designed to reduce counterparty risk, and that its fully netted post-trade settlement process — allowing collateral to be posted at the start of the trading day with buy and sell orders netted at close — addresses capital efficiency and off-exchange counterparty risk management for institutional clients. Prior to his current role, Cricca worked at Falcon Private Bank from 2011 to 2018, progressing through fund operations, asset management, banking services, and ultimately serving as Project Manager for the bank's crypto asset and cryptocurrency offering, alongside roles as Deputy Head of Mid Office and Head of Fund Services. He also held a position at Wyden, an institutional crypto trading platform based in Zurich. He holds a CIIA certification. His total professional experience spans approximately 23 years.
