Sahand Javidi

Sahand Javidi leads Digital Assets Strategy & Business Development at SEB, a role he has held since July 2023. His mandate covers the implementation of SEB Group's Digital Assets Strategy, with a focus on stablecoins, custody, and tokenised assets. He leads SEB's involvement in Qivalis, a European bank consortium developing a MiCA-regulated euro stablecoin designed to provide on-chain cash for digital asset markets. He represents SEB on industry panels and events covering digital assets, including as a speaker at Stockholm Fintech Week.

Javidi's earlier blockchain work at SEB included co-leading the European Investment Bank Digital Green Bond project, in which SEB and Crédit Agricole launched the so|bond framework on the PoCR blockchain and issued the first fully blockchain-based bond denominated in SEK on behalf of the EIB. Concurrently, he served as Acting Head of Risk and Valuation Services, managing a team of quantitative analysts delivering risk, valuation, and ESG reports to internal and external clients. Prior to that, he spent nearly seven years as Senior Risk Manager in SEB's Derivatives Clearing business, overseeing counterparty risk and regulatory capital and managing external regulatory audits with no significant findings. He joined SEB in August 2011 as a Quant Portfolio Analyst. He holds a Master's degree in Economics from Linköping University, completed in 2009.
