Sandy Hampel

Sandy Hampel is Director of Life/Annuities and Commercial Lines Products at The Institutes RiskStream Collaborative, a nonprofit blockchain consortium for the risk management and insurance industry. She has held this role since September 2021. RiskStream Collaborative develops insurance-specific use cases on Canopy, a custom blockchain architecture, and is described as the risk management and insurance industry's largest enterprise-level blockchain consortium.

Hampel's work at RiskStream spans both the P&C and Life & Annuity segments, with her director mandate covering commercial lines as well as life and annuity products. Prior to her current title, she joined the organization in September 2018 as Product Manager for the RiskStream Collaborative, operating within The Institutes Knowledge Group. Before joining RiskStream, she served as Vice President of Implementations at ACORD Solutions Group from October 2016 to May 2018, where she held a management team position responsible for global and domestic market strategy, including sales, marketing, and product development, with a focus on evaluating insurance industry gaps and positioning ACORD solutions accordingly. She is based in South Park Township, Pennsylvania.
