Serge Kaulitz

Serge Kaulitz is Head of DLT / Blockchain / Digital Assets at Luzerner Kantonalbank AG, where he is responsible for the coordination, organization, operation, and strategic development of DLT, blockchain, and digital assets at the bank. He chairs expert committees and working groups on digital assets, represents LUKB in the Swiss Bankers Association's digital asset working group, and participates in the Swiss Blockchain Federation.

His blockchain expertise dates to 2016 and includes multiple proof-of-concept projects and implementations. Prior to his current role, he held positions at Luzerner Kantonalbank AG as Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Automation Lead, during which he introduced Robotic Process Automation and a two-factor authentication application. Beyond the bank, he currently serves as a lecturer at HWZ Hochschule für Wirtschaft Zürich, teaching on Bitcoin economy and blockchain, with a focus on business model design in the context of the Bitcoin economy, strategic integration of Bitcoin into existing business models, and future scenarios in the Bitcoin space. Since February 2025, he has also been a lecturer at CCFE – Certified Crypto Finance Expert, a Swiss crypto and blockchain education programme for the financial industry, focusing on the integration of digital assets into traditional financial systems. He is co-founder of The Barrel Club GmbH. His educational background includes a Master of Advanced Studies in Computer Science from ZHAW and a Certificate of Advanced Studies from Hochschule Luzern.
