Tanjib Hasan

Tanjib Hasan is Director – Banking & Fintech (Payments, Crypto Digital Asset Exchange, Web3.0 Blockchain & AI) at Morgan McKinley, based in Tokyo, a position he has held since April 2024. In this role, he leads executive headhunting and recruitment across Corporate and Transaction Banking, Fintech, Payments, Digital Banking, Crypto and Digital Asset Exchange, Web3.0, Blockchain, and AI-native technology companies. His mandate spans contingent recruitment up to Director, Managing Director, and Country Head level; retained executive search projects covering CEO, Country Head, and C-suite positions primarily within Fintech and AI-native companies; and rapid company-scaling projects across global fintechs, enterprise technology firms, and Japan-based startups. He also works with Japanese companies and startups expanding into overseas markets, with a primary focus on ASEAN.

Hasan has ranked second globally and second across APAC and Japan by revenue within Morgan McKinley in each year from 2020 through 2025, with a first-place global and regional ranking in 2019. Prior to his current title, he served as Associate Director within the same Banking and Fintech practice from January 2022 to April 2024, covering the same core verticals. Since January 2024, he has also held the role of Ambassador at the Japan FinTech Festival. He has ten years of total professional experience. Born and raised in Tokyo, he is trilingual in Japanese, English, and Bengali, and grew up across Japan and Canada.
