Tomer Niv

Tomer Niv is a Crypto Web3 Investor at Entrée Capital, where he leads the fund's crypto, Web3, blockchain, and DeFi investments across pre-seed, seed, Series A, and Series B stages. He joined in May 2022 and has closed six deals to date: Hexagate, Breez, Lynx, Lightblocks, FRNZX, and Sodot. He also works directly with relevant portfolio companies on their Web3 strategy. Entrée Capital is a generalist Israeli and global venture capital fund with $1.25 billion AUM across 180 portfolio companies.

Niv entered the crypto industry in 2017 at Bits of Gold, an Israeli crypto brokerage, where he served as Chief Growth Officer. He subsequently joined eToro as Director of Global Crypto Solutions, where he led the firm's crypto, DeFi, NFT, and metaverse strategy and business. Since April 2022, he has also mentored startups across Outlier Ventures' Base Camp accelerator programs focused on crypto, DeFi, and NFTs. From August 2023, he has contributed content on crypto, blockchain, NFTs, and Web3 to Forbes Digital Assets. He also edits Web3 Start-Up Nation, a weekly LinkedIn newsletter covering the Web3 space in Israel. His academic background includes a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a Bachelor of Laws from Reichman University, as well as studies in Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application at MIT Sloan School of Management, and Introduction to Art and Finance at Sotheby's Institute of Art.
