Vittorio Baroni is Blockchain Program Manager at Nexi, a position he has held since 2022. He also serves as Head of Blockchain Program at SIA S.p.A., a role he has held since 2018. In that capacity, he served as Project Manager on the SPUNTA project, a collaboration between ABILab, NTT DATA, and SIA that deployed a new interbank reconciliation application on a distributed ledger technology infrastructure for more than 100 Italian banks, launching the service in March 2020.

Prior to his blockchain-focused roles, Baroni worked at SIA S.p.A. as a Business Developer and Project Manager from 2007 to 2015, and before that served as Chief Executive Officer at Graal Informatica S.p.A. from 2000 to 2007. He holds a Chartered Master in Business Administration from AIMBA, issued in March 2010, and a PMP certification from PMI, issued in February 2009. He studied Computer Science at the Università degli Studi di Milano and later attended Politecnico di Milano in 2022. He was a Member of the Board at AIMBA from October 2010 to December 2015.

Alessandro Ricciardi

Head of Crypto & Terminals Management

Alessandro Ricciardi is Head of Crypto & Terminals Management Security at Nexi Group, based in Milan, a position he has held since January 2024. In this role, he is responsible for Group ATM/Kiosk and POS Security Posture Governance, Cryptography and Key Management, and POS Products for the Nordics Area, covering Denmark and Norway.

Ricciardi has been with Nexi since October 2018, when he joined as head of security testing for the ATM self-service unit. In that capacity, he covered ATM security and service quality, solution architecture, Threat Management, Physical and Logical Security, ATM compliance including PCI, BCE and BdI regulations, and Business Continuity Management. He also supported ISO 22301, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, PCI DSS and PCI PIN certifications, and oversaw Test Factory and Test Automation processes within the service release management cycle. Prior to that, from November 2017 to September 2018, he served as head of the IT ATM office, managing ATM client software vendors covering application and XFS layers, the ATM terminal management system, budget oversight, and the full service lifecycle including SLA monitoring.
