Lee Walker

Chief Technology Officer

Lee Walker is Technical Team Lead at Crypto.com, focused on Derivatives North America, a position he has held since March 2023. He joined Crypto.com in January 2023 as a Technical Specialist before moving into the team lead role two months later.

Walker has 21 years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership, with the majority of his career spent at IG Group, where he worked from September 2008 to January 2023. At IG, he held roles including Java Developer, Technical Team Lead, and Technical Specialist, developing high throughput, low latency multi-threaded services for financial services. His technical specialisms include Java, REST, FIX, JMS, microservices, TDD, BDD, clean architecture, Spring, CI/CD pipelines, and OpenAPI, among others. Earlier in his career he worked as a Java/Web Developer at Electronic Data Systems, where he contributed to mission-critical information systems for the Royal Navy and the Army. He holds a first-class BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Hull, completed in 2004. He is based in the Greater Guildford area of the United Kingdom.

Chris Old

VP of Organic Growth

Chris Old is Global VP of Organic Growth at Crypto.com, a role he assumed in May 2025. He leads global strategy and execution across SEO, AIO, ASO and full-funnel organic content, with a mandate to scale growth across all products and markets. He manages teams across multiple regions.

Old joined Crypto.com from IG Group, where he served as Head of Organic Growth from May 2024 to May 2025, and prior to that as SEO Lead from October 2019 to April 2024, and SEO Manager from July 2018 to October 2019. At IG Group he oversaw SEO, web content, ASO, market analysts, social media, influencer, YouTube and podcasts, scaled the international SEO team across 27 countries, and grew organic traffic by 10x and organic revenue by 9x. He also developed the Club Sandwich Model, a generative AI content production process that reduced production time by 50% and doubled output. Before IG Group, he held SEO-related roles at Cancer Research UK and Truly Experiences. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies from the University of Nottingham.
