Joy Adams is Chief Operating Officer, Digital Assets Transformation at Deutsche Bank, based in London, where she has held the role since March 2024. In this capacity, she is engaged in strategic initiatives to implement distributed ledger technology within the Corporate Bank's digital assets and currencies mandate.
Prior to this role, Adams served as Head of Cybersecurity Business Advisory in Technology, Data & Innovation at Deutsche Bank, overseeing a multi-million pound business unit budget and managing a portfolio of strategic projects. She was instrumental in a Google Cloud transformation, aligning over 500 stakeholders and control owners. She was also selected for Deutsche Bank's inaugural Intrapreneur Program, one of 40 individuals chosen from over 400 applicants, co-founding an internal startup and securing €75,000 in funding after pitching to the Bank's CEO and Management Board. Earlier roles at Deutsche Bank included positions in Finance, Government & Regulatory Affairs, and Compliance/Legal. Before joining Deutsche Bank, she spent over three years in economic development with the City of South San Francisco, managing a $2 million portfolio of Community Development Block Grants. She began her career at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco through its Leadership Development Program. Adams holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she was a Bridge Fellow, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Point Loma Nazarene University. She is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), completed the Oxford University Fintech Programme, and is a Money 20/20 Rise Up alumna. She serves as deputy chair of Deutsche Bank's UKI Black Leadership Forum.

Sabih Behzad is Managing Director and Head of Digital Assets & Currencies Transformation at Deutsche Bank, a role he has held since February 2022. He oversees strategy and execution for digital assets and currencies within the Corporate and Investment Bank, with key areas of focus including tokenisation of assets and money, DeFi, and Metaverse. He represents Deutsche Bank in various industry bodies and forums and sits on the board of Taurus AG, a Swiss digital assets company.
Behzad has been with Deutsche Bank for over 16 years, working across the Technology and Operations, Investment Bank, and Corporate Bank divisions. Previous roles at the bank include CB IB Global KYC Programme Head, Head of Integration Alignment as a member of the Group CIO Executive Committee, and Chief of Staff and Head of Business Development working directly for the Group Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he worked in the M&A Corporate Finance division of Lehman Brothers in London and began his career in technology consulting at Lucent Technologies before moving to Accenture. He holds a BEng in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Manchester and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from London Business School. He is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
