Because a powerful network enhances the employability of students, more sharing of knowledge, more attractiveness for the school, a rise in the rankings, and therefore more students and more turnover. But over time, interactions between schools, students and alumni are weakening. Nowadays the connections are mainly on social networks and LinkedIn has become the professional network of reference.
