Aavegotchi is a collectible crypto game based on the DeFi concept, developed by Singapore-based Pixelcraft Studio, that allows players to stake profitable aTokens on avatars in the form of Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and interact with the Aavegotchi metaverse. This is a unique combination of DeFi and NFT. Aavegotchis are pixel ghosts residing on the Ethereum blockchain, existing based on the ERC-721 standard. Their value is shaped by rarity, which is calculated through many factors, such as initial traits, amount of stake staked, and equipped accessory. To upgrade the Aavegotchi, the player needs to participate in a series of activities including mini-games, administration, and meetups. Aavegotchis can also increase rarity by equipping in-game accessories and leveling up. Rare Aavegotchis not only have a high value on the secondary markets, but also allow Aavegotchis to perform better in rarity farming—a minigame that rewards GHST tokens to the rarest Aavegotchis.
